Tom Cain

BS Chemical Engineer

Mr. Cain is a manufacturing process engineer with over 30 years of experience providing consulting services togovernment agencies, including DOD (1), Air Force (2), Army (3), DHS (S&T, CSAC), DOJ, NOAA, NAS/NRC, DNFSB, and the Government of Japan as well as private sector organizations and commercial companies.

Mr. Cain's areas of expertise include technology evaluation, analysis of alternatives, process design & analysis, safety & risk management, environmental impact analysis, and performance-based acquisition & source selection support. He has applied this expertise to various domains including chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high-yield explosives (CBRNE); demilitarization (chemical & conventional); propellant, explosives, & pyrotechnics; solid rocket motor manufacture; process engineering; and chemical process forensics. Mr. Cain has published in over 50 major, technical reports, most multidisciplinary, such as safety, environmental, and economic factors. He has conducted over 25 SAFETY Act reviews and has made presentations at both U.S. and international conferences.

Mr. Cain holds a BS in Chemical Engineering for Tennessee Technology University.
