Join our Panel of Experts

APMI is searching for experienced individuals from academia, public agency, non-governmental or non-profit entity, and/or engineering or consulting firm communities to help build various Independent Peer Review (IPR) panels. The purpose of an IPR panel is to provide the Chief of Engineers with an independent assessment of specific projects or work products, which includes the adequacy and acceptability of the economic, engineering, and environmental methods, models, data, and analyses used as well as the range of alternatives, and the adequacy of risk and uncertainty analyses.


Panel Expert positions at this time include one or more of the following:
 

  • All must possess 15+ years of experience & a Master of Science degree or higher

  • Civil Works Planners/Planning Formulators with experience in Water Resource Planning, Master of Science degree or higher, USACE plan formulation. Other experience desired - SMART Planning.

  • Economists with experience in economic evaluations, economic analysis, applying risk analysis, plus USACE principles and guidelines to civil works project evaluations highly recommended, and Participation in professional societies encouraged.

  • Environmental Scientist with experience in Water resource environmental evaluations, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, Cultural resource assessments, plus experience with U.S. Conservation laws highly recommended. (e.g. Biologist, Ecologist)

  • Civil Engineering

  • Environmental Engineering (e.g. Ecological Engineering, Wastewater Engineering, Municipal or Urban Engineering - Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) Engineering

  • Geotechnical Engineering

  • Structural Engineering - Ocean Engineering

  • Water Resources Engineering (e.g. Hydraulic Engineering, River Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Groundwater Engineering)

  • Construction Engineering

  • Some panel disciplines may require a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license

  • Some panel disciplines may require experience with the following Software/Models; @RISK, GIS, HEC-FDA, HEC-FIA, HEC-HMS, HEC-LifeSim, HEC-RAS, MODFLOW, RES-SIM, RiverWare, SBEACH, Slope/W, STWAVE, SWMM, UNET, ETC…
